Here is what we have in store for the day, stop in for one, or keep coming back for all of the demos throughout the day: 11:00 - 11:30 a.m. ~ Disappearing 9-Patch and Double Disappearing 9-Patch: "Disappearing Blocks" look difficult, but are actually SO easy to make! They are great for any skill level. Anyone from an experienced quilt maker to the brand new piecer can make these blocks. If you can make a 9-Patch block, then you can make a Disappearing 9-Patch block. Letitia has made two cute quilts using 1930's prints. Come join her as she shows off her quilts and guides you through the (very easy) steps to make both of these blocks. 1:00 - 1:30 p.m. ~
Creative Grids 60 degree Equilateral Triangle Ruler: Table runners and table toppers make great hostess gifts and are super fast and easy to make. With the holidays coming up, think of how quickly you can put together that last minute gift! (They are so easy to make that you might even have time to make one for yourself.) Come join Letitia as she shows you how easy it is to use this ruler to make a quick, beautiful table runner. All you need is some border fabric, a pattern, and the Creative Grids 60 degree Equilateral Triangle Ruler. 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. ~ BlocLoc Rulers: Ask most of our staff and they'll tell you that one or more of their favorite rulers are BlocLocs! These amazing tools make piecing a breeze. Your half square triangles will be perfect (every single time) when you square them up with a BlocLoc Half Square Triangle Ruler, and your flying geese will never lose their points when you use the BlocLoc Flying Geese Trimmers. Join Letitia as she demonstrates these fantastic tools. (She'll have some blocks available for you to trim, too for some hands-on learning!) |
