Put An Applique on It!
This is a finishing class for anyone who made the Original Harmonic Convergence and/or the Divide and Conquer Convergence. Barbara will help you decide on borders for your quilt top and show how she adds machine applique and quilting as embellishment.
Supplies
Your Convergence top(s)
A selection of fabrics to use for borders
Fabrics to use for appliques - large prints or a panel with motifs that can be cut out
Cotton batting
Lt. Steam-a-seam 2 fusible web, a few sheets or about 1/2 yard
Threads to blend and contrast with your fabrics
Rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler
General Sewing Supplies-straight pins or clips, 90/14 machine needles, seam ripper, small scissors, fabric marker or pencil, quilting safety pins
Sewing machine in good working order with ¼” piecing foot and applique foot
