Mini Twister Tool Class with Suzzie Schuyler
This class will show you how to use the Mini Twister tool to make really cool quilts. You will be using the Mini Twister tool in this particular class and see how this tool eliminates the need for templates and tracing. All with no slipping!
This pattern is great for using 2 1/2” strips. The results using this tool are stunning and any themed fabric will work. You will use four coordinating focus fabrics and one background fabric, but please note that directional fabric does not work with this technique. You will make a table runner/wall hanging in this class, and any level quilter is welcome. So come join us and have fun and learn how to use the Mini Twister tool!
Supply List:
- Sewing machine in good working order along with power cord, foot pedal, and manual
- cutting mat, rotary cutter, and acrylic rulers
- Neutral sewing thread
- 1/4” foot for your sewing machine along with all the feet you have for your sewing machine
- Basic Sewing notions- pins, clips, scissors, seam ripper, and any other notions to make your sewing experience more enjoyable
- extra sewing needles for you machine (recommend to use 80/12 or 90/14 sewing machine needles)
- Mini Twister tool - includes pattern for this class- the 11” x 29” runner
- (4) 2 1/2” feature fabric strips for 4-patch units OR (16) squares if you prefer to make the runner without 4 patch units
- 3/4 yd. for neutral background
Homework to be done Prior to the class-
Please do this prep work before the class (and then bring to the class):
- Please cut from the (4) focus fabrics - from each fabric cut (1) 2 1/2” strip
- Please cut form the background fabric- (17) 4 1/2” squares; (3) 2 1/2” strips for the pinwheel grid border; (3) 1 1/2” strips for the final outer border
