·      Scraps of squares and rectangles for paper piecing. Directional prints are not recommended for this project. I suggest a white tone on tone fabric for the background. Go wild for the socks and you can use stripes and diagonals for the socks only. For the cuffs use a tone on tone coordinating fabric and then you can go glitzy for the shoes if you like with metallic fabrics.

·      1/2 yd. for background

·      1/4 yd. coordinating fabric for borders

·       (4) 3/8” bells for the toes

·      Open toe foot for your sewing machine: IMPORTANT: if you do not have this foot I suggest getting one from your sewing machine dealer.

·      Sewing machine in good working order along with foot pedal, power cord, and manual

·      Neutral sewing thread

·      80/12 sewing machine needles

·      1/2 yd. backing and batting (not required for class)

·      1/4 yd. coordinating binding (no required for class)

·      Paper piecing tools: Add a Quarter ruler, 4” x 12” thin plastic sheet (you can cut this from the clear plastic template sheets you can purchase at fabric/craft stores

·      6” x 12”’ and 8 1/2” x 24” acrylic rulers

·      Cutting Mat and rotary cutter

·      Seam roller
