Make this generous yet stylish purse to carry just about anything you want to put in it. This purse is secure without any zippers. Magnetic snap carriers are used to cinch the bag in on the sides and also to provide a closure at the top. Using canvas,or home dec fabric makes this a purse that will wear well and last a long time.

Supplies:

    1-1/4 yd. Decorative cotton canvas, Denim, or Home Dec weight fabric for the outer fabric
  1-1/4 yd. coordinating cotton fabric for lining
  1-1/4 yd (45" wide) fusible fleece
  1 package of coordinating piping (3 yd.)
  4 magnetic snaps
  Jeans Needle
  Coordinating thread
  Dritz's Wash-away Wonder Tape

Note:

In order to finish or be close to finishing the purse by the end of the class it is helpful to cut out all of the pattern pieces before class.  Cut out the paper pattern pieces and then from the Outer fabric, Cotton lining, and fusible fleece:  cut 2 each side panels with the bottom tab on the right; cut 2 each side panels with the bottom tab on the left; and cut on the fold cut 2 each for the front and back pieces.  For the pockets cut on the fold: cut 2  Outer fabric for front and back pockets; cut a total of 6 on the fold for the Cotton lining for the front and back pockets and also for the 2 pockets(outer and lining pieces making 4 pieces) placed inside the bag.  The pattern pieces are also labelled with what to cut of the Outer fabric, Lining, and Fusible Fleece.
